Completely Satisfied

“My husband and I needed to find a flexible lease term on very short notice after selling our house more quickly than we anticipated. The leasing office at Katahdin Woods was informative, responsive and honest through the lease application and finalization. The unit was in excellent condition despite our being short-term tenants; maintenance kept it that way when two minor plumbing repairs needed to be made. The staff was prompt in making repairs and very respectful of our privacy by sticking to the schedule they had set. Overall, we never worried about any staff entering the apartment without our pre-approval, even when our lease was ending and management had the right to show it to prospective new tenants. The fitness facility, common areas and grounds always were clean and well maintained. The management staff was consistently professional and friendly and quickly answered any questions we had. Our full security deposit was returned on time. Katahdin Woods is not a new and glitzy complex, but upgrades are being made continuously and it is extremely good value. In short, not one complaint!”

Very Pastoral With Planes

“We are living here while our house is repaired. It is the only place we found that guaranteed the same rent on a month-to-month basis without a lease which was a huge plus for us. A one bedroom is definitely too small for two people unless you are used to small quarters. As city people, we love the woods that surround us and have enjoyed hanging birdfeeders and getting great birds (not just sparrows) as guests. The management is top notch. The grounds are beautiful and we loved the pool area over the summer. People keep to themselves which is good if you are private (we are not). I read others' complaints about noise coming from other apartments, but our apartment is like a tomb it's so quiet. The only complaint we have about the unit itself is that it is stuffy -- there is little to no air circulation. The planes/helicopters/divebombers from Hanscomb are an issue, but you do get used to it. Sort of. The big planes can be a little unnerving. Important: Commute to Boston is a nightmare. “
