Yummy Recipes For Your Dog!

Whether your dog has allergies or just loves to eat …..here’s a few alternative treats that you’ll enjoying baking for your furry friend! It’s nice to use doggie type cookie
cutters, like bones or fire hydrants.

If your dog has skin allergies, this recipe might do the trick!

Original recipe makes 60 biscuits

1 3/4 cups rolled oats

3/4 cup golden flax seeds

2/3 cup brewers’ yeast

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 cup brown rice flour

2 cups oat flour

2 tablespoons organic raw sugar

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 3/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

2 eggs
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease two cookie sheets.
2. Combine oats, flax seeds, brewer’s yeast, cheese, rice flour, oat bran flour and sugar in a large bowl. Whisk together chicken broth and eggs; mix with oat mixture to
make a fairly stiff dough.
3. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, then flatten into discs. (Or, roll dough out on a floured surface to 1/4 or 3/8 inch thick and cut into 1-inch x 1 1/2-inch rectangles.) Place on cookie
sheets 3/4 inch apart.
4. Bake until dry and the edges turn a light golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool before serving.

Birthday Dog Bones

Original recipe makes 18 treats

2 cups whole wheat flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup unsalted natural peanut butter

1 cup skim milk

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Stir together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the peanut butter and milk. Stir in the flour mixture until well blended. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll
out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
